Eating: The Monk’s Kettle
My diet requirements include 1 (and if I’m lucky, 2) weekly burgers. Monk’s Kettle delivers a juicy burger with a sautéed onion jam, mayo-y aioli, and aged white cheddar. A little lettuce manages to sneak its way on under the patty, but presents an otherwise delightfully simple combination of ingredients. The underrated stunner on this menu? The flatbread. Crisp bread, softened with mushrooms and ricotta cheeses — with salty bonus points when you add prosciutto.
